When I came across this cheesecake at our grocery store I really wanted to try it. But the steaks are high! My family owns a real Italian bakery, I am used to the very best fresh delicious cheesecake. Being allergic to milk and gluten the holidays are hard and tempting to want to taste something I know will make me sick. Everywhere holiday season are all my old favorite treats I cannot touch. The daiya cheesecake came home for the holidays so I could have my sweets. My family was curious as well so after I took these images and we dug in. SURPRISE! Not bad at all! Delicious! The texture very good creamy and firm, the vanilla tastes great too. The graham crust was cookie crumbly but it held together when I served a slice. The cake is a bit sweet and small. You don’t need a big slice it is rich. I did not add any fresh fruit because this was a taste test but next time I will be adding fruit to balance the sweet. I know I can get this cake to bring to a party or serve knowing it is going to be a hit even for the people who don’t have food allergies.23849386956_67dd47374d_o

I am even more grateful the cake is soy free! I also am sensitive to soy. Non GMO oils double on my yay meter! BTW the cake never made it to the holiday dinner it was consumed pretty fast and NOT by me! Some other little sneaky elf ate the whole thing! I am the only one with the food allergies in my house THEY can all eat yummy fresh bakery goodies… just sayin.  No-one wants to fess up!  So yes Daiya prettttty darn good cheezecake!
